Navigating the complexities of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) can be complex, especially when dealing with OSHA Regulatory Requirements. What do you do if an Employee is released on light-duty or modified duty work? Do you need to accommodate those restrictions? What happens if this is an off-the-job injury? How do you accommodate an off-the-job injury restrictions? How do you meet OSHA Regulations while accommodating ADA Requirements? This course will give an awareness level overview of the ADA Requirements.
This course will cover OSHA’s Standard and discuss how to best adopt both requirements. The training will cover how to implement an effective Return to Work Program accommodating ADA and OSHA Requirements. The session will answer site-specific questions and address site-specific concerns as it pertains to both the ADA and OSHA Regulatory Requirements.
Highly experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Human Resources (HR) Professional and Management Consultant with over 28 years of experience. He received his Green Belt in Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing in 2005, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a Human Resource Management Concentration in 2007, and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) in 2011. He has the current pleasure of serving as Mississippi and Alabama Area Director of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). He served on the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program Participants Association (VPPPA) Region IV Board of Directors as a Director at Large from 2013-2015. Since 2002, he is an OSHA General Industry and Construction 10/30-Hour Authorized Outreach Trainer (both renewed in 2020).
